Weizel Security completed the Mountain Institution Redevelopment project resulting in a new look for the institution. Several buildings were taken down to make way for eight new buildings that serve a variety of uses. These included three 120-bed living units and, a special segregation building. As well as supplying detention frames, doors, and locks, Weizel's factory-trained staff provided complete installation. A special feature of this project was the electrical testing system designed and supplied by Weizel to test the security devices and locks at each opening. Wiring for each door position switch, call button, and lock indication status was taken to an accessible location where the plug-in tester was used to test operation, or to identify problems with any of these important security components.
